The ApolloMD Patient Safety Program has been developed to maximize safety for the patients our physicians are evaluating and treating in the emergency department. The key focus points of our safety program are:

  1. Educate physicians regarding admissions
Ensure that patients who will benefit from hospital services and meet hospital stay criteria are correctly selected to receive those services, based upon objective clinical evaluation
  2. Eliminate barriers to getting patients admitted
Efficiently transition patients from the emergency department to their inpatient units, so that unnecessary delays in care to not occur
  3. Utilize an active case management process
Provide appropriate documentation of each inpatient’s medical condition in conjunction with hospital case management departments, so that the correct selection of observation versus inpatient status can be made in order to facilitate providing patients with the appropriate level of care.
