The “We Care” Challenge is an immersion program which extends beyond the physician staff to include all team members. Over ten weeks, the collaborative project gradually introduces concepts proven to enhance the patient experience.
By introducing and emphasizing one concept per week, the “We Care” Challenge aims to hardwire the improvements into daily practice, creating an atmosphere that promotes patient-centered behavior at all times.
In addition to the inherent patient satisfaction score increases, improved patient experience also results in improved quality of care. Patients who report having a better overall experience are more likely to comply with discharge instructions including taking medications.
